Megan Moss
(Board President) |
Megan
Moss is Chairman and CEO of Moss Construction Cost Management of Auburn,
IN, a construction cost consulting company she and her husband Jonathan
started 4 years ago. The company also has an office in Bethesda, MD and
specializes in cost estimating and consulting for sustainable projects.
While living in the Washington, D.C. area, Megan became interested in
co-housing and sustainable neighborhood development. She currently runs
the Indiana Cohousing website and discussion group. Megan and her
husband try to live sustainably, and are raising their four children
to do the same. |

Nick Harter
(Vice President) |
Nick Harter is a
graduate of Purdue University, and is currently attending Indiana
University to obtain his Master's in Business Administration. He is
the Executive Director of the non-profit organization Indiana's Green Network,
Inc, which serves to educate residents about energy efficiency and
environmental issues. Nick is also a member of USA Today's
Entrepreneurs Panel. Nick currently works as Program Manager for
the City of Fort Wayne's Biosolids Handling Facility.

in Construction Engineering Technology. She is an estimator at
Hagerman Construction Corp. Laura is also a LEED Accredited Professional and has done
volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and The Great Tree Canopy

Wendy Barrott |
Wendy is a native Hoosier and
graduate from Purdue University earning a Master’s in Environmental
Engineering. She joined General Motors working in environmental policy,
regulatory compliance, and facility operations. After tiring of the
automotive world, she accepted a position as the Director of Wayne
County Michigan’s Air Quality Management program – having responsibility
for 20% of the state’s industry and 20% of the population stuffed into
1/62 of the state. Wendy then was the administrator for the fledgling
Detroit Area Regional Transportation Authority – always being a student
at heart Wendy has attended Maryland’s Smart Growth Leadership program
and energy conservation courses. She returned to Indiana to develop the
City of Fort Wayne’s energy program and is glad to be here. |

Stacie Perkowski |
Stacie Perkowski has served the Allen
County Solid Waste Management District for over 10 years. As Program
Manager, she works closely with the residential and business community
to reduce their waste streams through recycling and reduction program
developments.
Stacie is a long time active member with the following organizations:
Northern Indiana Recycling Initiative and the Solid Waste Association of
North America.
A graduate of Indiana University, Stacie has an earned degree in
Environmental Science. She is also a Mom of three Children. |

Candace Imbody |
Candace is an owner and Vice President of
Construction Recycling Solutions. Construction Recycling Solutions is a
company originated in Fort Wayne in 2005.
Candace and her partner Jeff Zolnik started CRS
with 2 employees and a dump truck. The inspiration came from an EPA
report on a 1996 pilot program in Oregon where 90% of construction waste
was successfully diverted from the land-fill. Today thousands of tons
of construction waste are taken from the waste stream and used
beneficially in our community. “Sustainability and pollution prevention
are the focus” for the seedling company….”today we are the exception,
tomorrow this will be the rule!” |

Architect Steve Park is Owner/Partner
of Moake Park Group, Inc. His architectural career started with a
commitment to "green architecture" via his college thesis - the
integration of active and passive solar systems into residential
facilities. Today, that commitment transcends not only to his personal
efforts toward environmental conscious living, but in his facility
design commissions for Moake Park. As a certified LEED™ professional,
Steve takes every opportunity to inspire building individuals to be more
environmentally and socially conscious, and is actively involved in
educating communities on green building planning issues, as well as the
design, construction and management of our environment. |

Doug Ahlfeld |
Doug Ahlfeld, project manager for Ameresco,
Incorporated of Framingham, Massachusetts.
Ameresco is a performance contracting company
specializing in design build energy saving projects.
Ameresco specializes in landfill gas projects,
biomass conversion, alternative energy utilizing 600Kw and larger wind
turbines, solar thermal and photovoltaics, as well as building
upgrades of HVAC and lighting.

Ann Helmke |
Ann Helmke serves as the executive
director of Vincent House, Inc. The organization provides shelter and
services for homeless families and develops affordable housing in a
southeast neighborhood. She has a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers
University with an emphasis in administration, policy and planning. She
serves on the finance committee of the Green Build Coalition. |

Regina Leffers
(Former Board President and Founder) |
Dr. Regina Leffers is a professor of
Construction Engineering Technology at IPFW. She is a founding member
and immediate past President of the Northeast Indiana Green Build
Coalition. Regina is also Co-Chair of Mayor Graham Richard’s Green
Ribbon Commission for the City of Fort Wayne. The Commission has been
charged with establishing environmental goals and implementation
strategies for Fort Wayne in the areas of air quality and energy
conservation. Regina is also a co-owner of Synergid Commercial, Inc. in
Fort Wayne. |

Matt Kubik |
Matt is a Registered Architect in
Indiana and Illinois; NCARB Board Certified. He is a design
Partner with Kelty Tappy Kubik Architects. As a graduate of the
University of Notre Dame, and the Architectural Association School of
Architecture, London England as one of the first graduates of the Energy
Programme. He also did post-graduate studies at the Royal College of
Art, School of Environmental Design, London, England. Matt is also
an Associate Professor of Interior Design at Indiana University-Purdue
University, Fort Wayne where he has been teaching principles of energy
efficient design and detailing since 1983. His creative
professional work utilizes user interactive design processes. Projects
have included urban design proposals for, Fort Wayne’s Broadway
Corridor, reuse of the Valspar industrial buildings, Ligonier City Hall,
and space planning for the IPFW Engineering, Technology and Computer
Science Building. He is the winner of two awards for Excellence in
Architecture and the 1996 American Institute of Architects Award for
Community Service granted by the American Institute of Architects |

Mike Michmerhuizen |
Michael H. Michmerhuizen is an
attorney with Barrett & McNagny LLP specializing in the area of
commercial litigation and appellate practice. He is a graduate of Grand
Valley State University and the University of Michigan Law School.
Before going to law school, Mike worked in the banking industry. He is
married and recently had his third child. |

Matt Jones |
Ft. Wayne native. I have been married for 17 years,
have two sons and one grandson.
I am a graduate of Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne. My
major being Environmental Studies (Dean’s List in 1992). I also have
some post-grad credits in Public and Environmental Affairs.
I have been employed with the Allen County
Partnership for Water Quality for almost two years. The Partnership
represents the 3 Multiple Sanitary Sewer Separation System (MS4)
entities. As Water Resource Education Specialist, I have acted as
project manager, consultant and co-writer of the PBS documentary “A
Watershed Mentality” and the companion contractor Best Management
Practices (BMPs) video “Green Sells.” I am also known as “Dr. I.C.
Coldwater,” and as one of the coordinators for Ft. Wayne’s Storm Water
detention/Mitigation Facility known as “Camp Scott.” These tools,
combined with Indiana Project WET, Community and Home school outreach,
make for a variety of ways to educate the non-agricultural stakeholders
of the county.
Among my favorite activities are: Hiking, solo and
group; Canoeing; Camping, mostly the backpacking sort; Regional and
Local History; Art restoration and Music appreciation. |

Heather Schoegler is the Marketing Director at CB
Richard Ellis/Sturges. In conjunction with CB Richard Ellis/Sturges
commitment to be carbon neutral by 2010, Heather is responsible for the
creation and overseeing of CBRES’ Green Task Force. The task force
includes representatives from all departments and was established to
aggregate and create best practices, to develop educational programs for
clients and employees and to develop internal policies and business
practices. The goal of the Green Task Force is implement energy saving
technology and practices at the vast majority of our client properties
and corporate facilities. Heather is active in the community
volunteering with Junior Achievement and serving on the Board of
Directors for Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (www.ylni.org)
and Friends of the Parks of Allen County (www.yeaparks.org).
Heather was a 2008 recipient of the Future 40 award. |

Zachary is a LEED accredited professional and Project
Manager at the architectural firm of Morrison Kattman Menze, Inc. Upon
receiving his Masters in Architecture from Ball State University, he
returned to northeast Indiana and has since become involved in a number
of not-for-profit organizations focused on the future and well-being of
our environment and public spaces. With an extensive background in
community planning and revitalization, Zachary has been tirelessly
involved in educating the community on urbanism, sustainable
architecture, and walkable neighborhoods through lectures,
essays/publications, public workshops, or even over a cup of coffee. |
